Darkness and light

The owl in the yard

In the darkness,
an owl sees
to hunt. An armadillo
goes out to dig for worms.

Black is a mad gesture of
dark and light mixed together.
I think of it this way -- it's light and dark
getting in a fight but really no one knows who
and they will never find out. It's a mystery
we'd all be amazed if
it really did happen.
